How we have made our Laundry Covid-19 Secure

We, Brent Linen Hire, strictly follow the guidelines given by the government for the safety of our colleagues and the cloths of our customers and to make our place and work fully #covid-19 secure.

 .
We have installed a hand sanitizer station in our factory. One is in front of the door (So that nobody takes a virus out), one is inside the door (So that nobody brings any virus with them in the factory.), One in the canteen, and one outside of the toilet. Tiolet and kitchen will always have enough hand washing Liquide. We have a thermometer to measure the temperature. We have offered masks to the staff. Cause of the nature of our work, we stay apart from each other. We have a long table where two ladies were folding the chef jackets. To keep them socially distant, we have got another table for her and put that away from the other table. We have strictly instructed the colleagues to stay away from each other. That is washing men will not come near the folding men or the men working in ironing or sorting and vise versa.

What we do:
1. We wash items customers' cloths #restaurant tablecloths, #chef #uniforms #hiotel, #linen. an all #hospitaliyy cloths as appropriate in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions;

2. We dispose of items that are heavily soiled with body fluids, such as vomit or diarrhea, or items that cannot be washed, with the owner’s consent.

3. Store personal waste (such as used tissues, continence pads, and other items soiled with bodily fluids) and disposable cleaning cloths securely within disposable rubbish bags. Place these bags into another bag, tying securely, and keep separate from other waste within the room. This should be put aside for at least 72 hours before being disposed of as normal.

What we do not do::
1. We do not place dirty laundry on the floor or other surfaces to prevent contamination.

2. We do not shake dirty laundry before washing to minimize the possibility of dispersing the virus through the air.

Note: According to Government guidance, we don't need to separate dirty laundry that has been in contact with an ill person from other people’s items.

We have offered a special staff uniform and clothing should be protected from contamination by PPE. Each day after use, all these used uniform go to the washing machine to wash from 75 degrees to 90 degrees and dry afterward in the dryer at 83 degrees for 35 minutes.

Want to dine in your favorite restaurant? What to do to avoid disappointment?

Generally, we book a #restaurant when we go for a meal. There are some fine dining restaurants where you have to book six months in advance if you want to reserve a place. But there are some restaurants who would not take a booking rather serve on a first come first serve basis. Some customers wait for an hour to have their favorite meal.

But due to #coronavirus (#Covid-19), all most all restaurants are taking bookings after opening on the 4th of July, even though they were not taking any booking before. Queuing outside may not be possible as if there is a good number of people wait outside with social distancing of a meter or a meter and a  half, the queue line could go long and unmanageable.

Following restaurants were not taking any booking before but now you can book:

Barrafina
El Pastor
Casa Pastor
Gloria
Circolo Popolare
Dishoom
Caravan
Morito
Snackbar
Vinegar Yard

Most of the customers are eagerly waiting to go for a meal. We hope restaurants, #bars, #pubs #cafes will get lots of customers. Sadly, London still is a ghost city. There is no tourist, theatres are not open, cinemas are open with social distancing rules, only 10 to 15% of the employees are back to work, #coronavirus is still spreading and on top you have congestion charge of £15 from 7 am to 10 pm 7 days a week. It is too early to say what will be the fate of the #restaurants and #hospitality sectors.

Restaurants are facing multiple issues in reopening on July the 4th. What are they?

PM’s announcement of the reopening of #restaurants and #pubs on the 4th of July was welcome by most of the restaurant owners. Sadly, the City of London is still a ghost city and restaurant owners are not as optimistic as they wanted to be. Following are the reasons:
1. The theatres are not open;
2. The cinemas are open with social distancing;
3. Most of the office workers are working from home;
4. Tourists are not coming as there is a compulsory isolation rule for tourists.
So not many people are coming to the city

On top of that

5. Restaurant owners will get no rent deduction from landlords or rent grant from the government
6. VAT and Business rates could be delayed but still a burden to the owners
7. Staff will come to work, and the furlough scheme is ending slowly and soon.
8. Those who have taken bounce back loan is also a burden to them (Maybe not now but surely in a year time)
9.  London Mayor Sadik Khan has introduced a congestion charge of £15 from 7 am to 10 pm 7 days a week
10. #Coronavirus (#Covid-19) Pandemic is not over yet as Leicester city has gone to lockdown again;
11. Some scientists suggested that we relaxed the lockdown earlier. The US could have 100,000 cases per day from 40,000 per day due to the early relaxation of lockdown.
12. Restaurants and pubs must prepare for Covid-19 secure; and
13. Last but not least, we are going through #Brexit

On this basis, some high profile restaurant owners have written an open letter signed by St. John owners Fergus Henderson and Trevor Gulliver, as well as Angela Hartnett, chef-owner of the Michelin-starred Mayfair Italian restaurant Murano, Geoff Leong of Chinatown institution Leong’s Legend, the Galvin brothers, and critic Tom Parker Bowles, says that “July 4th is no silver bullet for London Town, hidden by scenes of mobbed urban parks and commons and the crazy seaside on our screens. The center of London remains a ghost town,"

They have called for Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Mayor of London Sadiq Khan “to sort out their differences” and to come together to provide businesses with “specific support and action now.”

Deliveroo boss Will Shu warns on the future of the restaurant industry

#Restaurants are 'hurting' due to the coronavirus pandemic warned #Deliveroo boss. He said to #BBC “Even if restrictions are lifted soon, there's going to be a long period of socially-distanced dining". He added that "Covid-19 really has marked a new era of delivery. Since we started Deliveroo, there's been this incredible adoption towards online and apps. But I think Covid-19 has brought forward this consumer behavior by about one to three years."

Their company will suffer financially cause their customers (Restaurants). During the lockdown, Deliveroo has expanded their business as lots more restaurants went to takeaway only and offer delivery services. But they are more concerned about the future of the restaurant business because of #coronavirus and social distancing.

Restaurants, #cafes #pubs are reopening on 4th July 2020.

Coronavirus Health and Safety Guidance for Restaurants after 4th July

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced re-opening the #restaurants and #pubs on the 4th of July 2020 with more hand washing. He has reduced the social distancing from 2m to 1m plus. Restaurants, pubs, #cafes, and the #hospitality sector have welcomed the news. Some diners are eagerly waiting to visit their favorite restaurants and pubs. The following are some Health and Safety Guidance for Restaurants for reopening on the 4th of July after Coronavirus (#Covid-19) relaxing.

If you have a booking, you can enter in the pub or the restaurant. If you have not booked, you can only go if there is a table available. The pub or restaurant can hold your data for 21days for future track and trace (In case).

There will be a hand sanitizer in the entrance for the customer to use.

Cutlery, napkins, and menus will only be laid once you're seated.

Waiters and waitresses will use a face shield and carry a hand sanitizer all the time.

Food and drinks must be ordered from the table and served by a member of staff only.

Contactless payments will be most encouraged. Cash would be left on the tray and the staff will deal with it.

Pubs and restaurants can serve customers on the pavements. But police say that will bring more public disorder.

The pub or restaurant must comply with:
Risk assessments
Track and trace
Social distancing
Health and hygiene
No loud music
One in one out in the toilet
Surface cleaning per hour
Deep cleaning once a week

You can find more information on the Gov.uk website:

New guidance for UK hospitality sector to reopen. What are they?

PM is under enormous pressure from MPs and business leaders to open the #restaurants #pubs, #clubs #cafes #hotels, and all #hospitality sectors ASAP. The British Beers and Pubs Association (BBPA) which includes 47,000 pubs and 2,000 brewers have demanded a clear confirmed date for re-opening to the government. They argued that this will enable them to prepare for the #Coronavirus / #Covid-19 safety procedures to be in place.

The new guidance will include the procedures of establishing social distancing such as organizational capacity, queue management, signage, markings, etc. It will advise how to use enhanced hand hygiene measures and cleaning practice and employers' training and equality issues. Some of the guidance is as follows:

Pubs:
1. The table must be set up as per government guidance;
2. Number of customers allowed in the pub must restricted by their space;
3. Customers will be discouraged to order at the bar but will be delivered to the tables;
4. Surfaces, door handle, bar counter must clean hourly; and
5. They might be allowed to serve alcohol at the street or on the pavement

Restaurants:
1. From the pub section, serial number 1, to 4 also applies to the restaurants;
2. Limited menus;
3. Disposable paper menus than permanently laminated menus

Hotels:
1. Guests to use lift instead of stairs;
2. Use more room service;
3. Avoid restaurants dining; and
4. Guests falling ill must self-isolate in their room and meals will be provided in their room with disposable plates and cutleries.

Gyms and Spas:
1. No overcrowding; and
2. Must observe social distancing.

Physiotherapists, masseurs, pedicurists, and manicurists:
1. Must wear full protective gear.

Nightclubs:
No declaration yet, dance floors pose a big challenge.

Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden told BBC Radio 4 that the review the prime minister ordered into the two-meter social distancing rule for England would be concluded “within the coming days”, while Whitehall officials confirmed the outcome is expected next week.

PM is expected to announce next week on pubs, cafes, restaurants, and hotels – with a reopening date on 4th July 2020.

PM Ordered two-metre social distancing review

PM Ordered two-metre social distancing review

Foreign minister Dominic Raab informed on Monday the 15th June 2020 that "important progress" had been made in the fight against the #COVID-19 pandemic but that the country is not yet "out of the woods".

He added that "we can't just pretend that #coronavirus has gone away or we've eliminated the virus. And we know from the science and also from what we're seeing from international experience, that there is a risk of a second spike if we're not very careful". And the government is taking "modest and careful steps" and that it is "very carefully monitoring the impact they have on the virus".

90 #restaurant and food chain bosses including #Wagamama and #Pizza #Hut, #Itsu, Pret A Manger have warned the prime minister the #hospitality sector faces mass job cuts without more help and plea to PM for help to avoid “Grave Damage”. This letter was organized by #Deliveroo which said: "Without government support to help restaurants to generate revenue and cover costs, tens of thousands of restaurants may be forced to permanently close their doors in the coming months. "This crisis is far from over and the potential consequences are deeply concerning. A huge number of restaurants across the country are facing the prospect of bankruptcy." They asked for slashing VAT on restaurant food and maintaining the Job Retention Scheme for restaurants while #social #distancing measures are in place.

Boris Johnson has ordered a review into the two-metre social distancing rule, continuing his drive to relax it against current epidemiological advice in the U.K. Chancellor Rishi Sunak said that the review will necessarily include input from the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE,) ministers will take the final decision about restaurants, pubs, and bars. PM’s official spokesman said that the government has commissioned a comprehensive review into the two-metre rule that would "look at the evidence around the transmission of the virus in different environments, incidence rates, and international comparisons". Ministers have said the review will be completed "in the coming weeks".

Restaurants, Pubs and Cafes cannot survive with two-metre social distancing. Why? See below:

Restaurants, Pubs and Cafes cannot survive with two-metre social distancing. Why? See below:

#Restaurants, #Pubs and #Cafes are the place where people gather for meeting, and socializing. Most of the restaurants, pubs and cafes operate in a very small and tight place. Only 11% of the hospitality business were operating normally during the #Coronavirus (#Covid-19) lockdown. Now Government has imposed with two-metre social distancing once the restaurants, pubs and cafes will be allowed to open. With two-metre social distancing rule, hospitality sectors can accommodate only 30% of their total capacity. This sector cannot even come to breakeven point by serving 30% of their customers. If the social distancing is reduced to one metre, this sector can accommodate 50% to 60% of their capacity and reach to the breakeven point with the revenue they can earn. Hospitality sector and related to this sector have been hit hard during the lockdown. Hospitality sector is the 5th largest employer in the country and if the sector fail, 3.50 million jobs will be at risk. There are renewed calls to relax the social distancing rules from two metre to one metre. Still, this decision is up to the government whether they will relax the rule and save the hospitality sector or not.

Pubs, bars and restaurants could reopen two weeks early on June 22

Pubs, bars and restaurants could reopen two weeks early on June 22

According to the report, #Pubs, #bars and #restaurants could reopen two weeks early on June 22 to save 3.50 million jobs. Downing street still plans to re-open the sector on July 4. But some influential ministers are arguing to re-open them on June 22.

UK Hospitality chief executive Kate Nicholls told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: “At two metres you are receiving 30 per cent of your normal revenues, at one metre it gets up to 70 per cent – so it is the difference between success and failure for many of those businesses. They will need support if two-metre social distancing is in place. “If that is what the science says and if that is what our public health needs, that is what we will maintain. We just need to have the additional Government support to make that workable.”

#Hospitality sectors have been hit the hardest in #coronavirus lockdown. The sector has already missed the Easter bank holiday sales. If they miss the summer sales, there are fears that 3.50 million jobs could be at risk. 10% of the UK workforce work in the hospitality sector. When the sector will re-open the two-meter social distancing rule will be in place. At present pubs, restaurants, and cafes wanting to set up chair and tables outside needs approval and a fee. Government plans to reduce approval time and the fees too.

What will happen to restaurants, pubs and hospitality sectors in Juy-2020 (Ref - Coronavirus)?

The UK Government is planning to reopen the #restaurants #pubs #cafes and all #hospitality sectors on 4th July for dinning. The U.K. government’s new published strategy on how it proposes to reopen society through COVID-19 confirms that there is no chance restaurants or other hospitality businesses will reopen for dine-in service before Saturday 4 July. While restaurants and pubs are looking forward to welcoming and serving the customers in their premises, they are highly concerned about the health and safety of their colleagues and customers and social distancing. Most of the restaurants and pubs are not designed in the way of social distancing. They will have to reduce 50% of the tables. They can only allow the number customers legally allowed in their premises. One restaurant owner mentioned how the waiters could serve customers from 2 metre distance. They were thinking of buffet type food where customers will pick foods from the buffet desk maintaining social distance. Another restaurant owner set up a conveyer belt for food serving where customers will pick the food from the belt.

Restaurants and pubs are a place where people gather for socializing and there is high risk of transmitting #Coronavirus (#Covid-19). Some of our restaurant customers mentioned that they will have to reduce their service by 60% and with 40% of the business it will be very difficult to survive. The current R rate is from 0.7 to 0.9, number of deaths are decreasing on weekly basis and our #NHS is coping very well, our situation is getting better slowly but surely. We hope and pray that all our hospitality overcome this hard situation.

When is Eid? Eid Mubarak

What is Eid al Fitr?
Eid al-Fitr is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan. Often Muslims says Eid Mubarak (Happy Eid) to greet each other on this day. They perform a special prayer in the mosque which is forbidden in the UK due to #Coronavirus. They invite and meet their relatives and friends, prepare delicious foods and share with each other. They donate money (Zaakat – 2.5% of their extra net cash and gold) among poor people so that all people can have a happy day.

When is Eid 2020?
Eid begins after the end of fasting month of Ramadan. People tries to see the new moon to confirm the new month of “Shawal”. Eid takes place on the 1st day of Shawal. So, the Eid al Fitr will start on Saturday the 23rd May 2020 in the evening and finish on the Evening on Sunday the 24th May 2020.

Happy Eid Day to All.

When will pubs and restaurants reopen in the UK? See below

When will pubs and restaurants reopen in the UK? See below:

The British #hospitality sector like #restaurants, #pubs and #cafes closed their doors on 23rd March 2020 as per the order given by the Government. Some of the restaurants have kept their establishment open for takeaway and delivery services. Hospitality sectors have been hit hard by the #coronavirus.

 Restaurants, pubs and cafes is place for public gathering where it is very difficult to maintain social distancing. For this reason, government have decided to reopen this sector at last. As per the guidance from the government, these hospitality places must remain close till early July 2020. The UK Government's Covid-19 recovery plan makes clear that hospitality places must remain closed until July 4 at the earliest.

This #Covid-19 crisis has put a huge risk to the hospitality sectors, their employees, owners, suppliers, wholesalers. Government have offered lots of help to the sector like grants, furlough scheme etc. Still some of the restaurants will not survive this crisis.

We are hoping that the hospitality sectors can come up from this crisis and flourish again.
