Ultra-budget UNDERGROUND hotel opens on London’s most exclusive street – and you can stay from £33 each a night
A new ultra-budget underground hotel has opened on London’s prestigious Park Lane, offering stays from just £33 per person, per night. Known for luxury hotels charging hundreds, including JW Marriott Grosvenor House (£390) and 45 Park Lane (£940), the arrival of Zedwell Underground Park Lane provides an affordable alternative in one of the capital’s priciest areas.
The hotel is entirely underground, featuring 133 soundproofed ‘cocoons’ with no windows, ambient lighting, purified air, cushioned mattresses, en-suites, rainfall showers, and free Wi-Fi. Guests can check in via automated desks, and for those working remotely, there’s a co-working space overlooking H yde Park.
Rooms start at £67.68 per night for two people, making it the second underground Zedwell hotel after their Tottenham Court Road location. The brand aims to deliver quality sleep in prime city locations at an affordable price, with previous openings including the world’s largest capsule hotel in Piccadilly Circus.
Travel writer Helen Wright praised the hotel’s minimalist, modern interiors, saying the capsules felt spacious, private, and surprisingly comfortable, offering a quiet, restful night’s sleep.
