First came a ridiculously overpriced ice cream – a 99 that cost £99 – and now there's a gut wrenchingly expensive £1000 dinner up for grabs. To usher in the festive season, Heliot Steak House is launching a Break the Bank dinner, a six course-feast cooked up with what they say are the finest ingredients in the world. Created by hot shot chef Ioannis Grammenos, the unreasonably pricey menu features a USDA prime fillet Wellington steak with white alba truffle (of course) and a Barolo wine sauce, as well as Hokkaido snow beef with morel mushrooms and a very posh, smoked bone marrow sauce.
